Which university accepts JUPEB?

Universities that accept jupeb

On top of the minds of numerous applicants is the question “which university accepts JUPEB? This question is usually on their minds due to their lack of quality information about the JUPEB programme.

Before we give you a rundown of all the universities in the country that accepts JUPEB; we will like to tell you a few things about the JUPEB programme.

JUPEB is an advanced level programme (A’level) that enable successful applicants to gain admission into 200level in any university of their choice. This goes without saying that not all universities in the country accept JUPEB.

Above all, the programme is an alternative to JAMB. Instead of students to sit down at home because they had a low JAMB score or failed their post UMTE, they can apply for JUPEB which is a rather easier way of gaining admission.

How JUPEB works

Students who enroll for the JUPEB programme will receive lectures for a 9months period. This is equivalent to a session in a university. The lectures prepare the students for the exam. Therefore, this arrangement makes it easier for students to gain admission, as they will be familiar with what to expect through these lectures.

After the exam, successful applicants will obtain direct entry form into any university of their choice and gain direct entry admission into 200level in that particular university.

Also, the JUPEB programme is actually a flexible programme. This is so because numerous universities accept JUPEB. Therefore, students who had their JUPEB centre in a particular state can actually apply to a university that accepts JUPEB in another state.

As a result, what this means in essence is that if a candidate has his/her centre in Lagos and wrote the JUPEB exam in Lagos as well, the candidate can gain direct entry admission into Obafemi Awolowo university.
